Best Postman alternatives for iPhone & iPad (2026)
There is no Postman mobile app, so "alternative" here means: what do you actually install? We build one of these apps, so read this as an opinionated but honest map — including where the others beat us. Store data re-checked on October 16, 2026. · Also in: 日本語 · Deutsch · Español · Português
Want the closest thing to Postman in your pocket — your workspaces, your pm.* scripts,
a collection runner — plus gRPC, MQTT and Socket.IO? ReqPad; no other iPhone client
does those. Pure REST/GraphQL with the longest track record? HTTPBot.

1. ReqPad — the most Postman-like, and the only one past REST
Our app, so judge the claim by its checkability: ReqPad is the only mobile API client with gRPC and Socket.IO support — across every App Store listing we checked in October 2026, no other client mentions either, and none mentions MQTT. It's also the one that behaves most like Postman itself:
- Your Postman work, intact — one-tap Postman Cloud Sync import of workspaces, collections and environments; plus Postman v2.1 files, cURL, OpenAPI/Swagger and HAR.
- Your scripts still run — pre-request and test scripts with the Postman-compatible
pm.*API, and a Collection Runner with CSV/JSON data files. - Seven protocols — REST with Server-Sent Events, WebSocket, GraphQL with subscriptions, gRPC (reflection + .proto, all streaming modes), MQTT, Socket.IO and MCP.
- ReqPad AI — explains a failing request with a one-tap fix, builds requests from plain words, writes queries and tests; secrets are removed on your device first.
- Enterprise auth — OAuth 2.0 with PKCE and auto refresh, AWS SigV4, Hawk, Akamai EdgeGrid, Digest; secrets in the Keychain.
- Everywhere you are — iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android; no account, no ads.
Honest cons: it's the newest app here, and the rating count reflects that; and the heavy protocols, scripts and advanced auth live behind Pro (REST and WebSocket are free forever, no account; 7-day free trial).
2. HTTPBot — the established all-rounder
The strongest established iOS client: 1,322 ratings at 4.48 is real, earned trust, and it's
actively maintained (updated October 2026). It has grown well beyond plain REST — WebSocket,
GraphQL and remote MCP servers are all in its listing now, along with Postman collection import,
export and account sync. If your work is REST/GraphQL and you want maximum maturity, it's an
excellent choice. Where it stops: no gRPC, MQTT or Socket.IO, and no Postman pm.*
script execution or collection runner advertised. Our detailed take:
HTTPBot vs ReqPad.
3. Tester — the feature-rich workspace
Formerly Teste (and API Tester before that), now listed on the App Store as "Tester – Super Intelligence". The category's install leader on Android (100K+), with REST, GraphQL, WebSocket and SOAP, collection import, Shortcuts, widgets and an Apple Watch app. If you want an all-in-one mobile dev workspace, it's a serious option. Trade-offs: no gRPC, MQTT or Socket.IO in its listing, OAuth limited to pasting an access token, and its Android build hasn't been updated on Google Play since August 2025. Details: Teste vs ReqPad.
4. Rest – HTTP API Client — simple, but dormant
A clean, minimal REST client with Postman collection file import and CloudKit sync. Well liked (4.41), but its last update was August 2022 — fine for occasional GETs, risky as a daily tool.
5. Postman in the mobile browser — the no-install fallback
web.postman.co loads on a phone and is genuinely Postman — but the layout, tap targets and the cloud Agent assumption are desktop-first. Fine for reading a collection on an iPad with a keyboard; frustrating as a daily phone tool. Full assessment in our Postman-on-mobile guide.
How to choose in 30 seconds
- You need gRPC, MQTT or Socket.IO on the move — ReqPad is the only iPhone client with any of the three.
- You rely on Postman scripts and runs — ReqPad runs
pm.*pre-request and test scripts and whole collections with data files. - Same tool on iPhone and Android — ReqPad (or Tester, if its Android build runs well on your device).
- REST/GraphQL + maximum track record — HTTPBot has earned its ratings.
- Won't install anything — Postman web in the browser, with patience.
FAQ
What is the best Postman alternative for iPhone?
It depends on your protocols and how much of Postman you use. If you need gRPC, MQTT or Socket.IO, or want your Postman pre-request and test scripts to run as-is, ReqPad is the only iPhone client that does it. For REST, GraphQL and WebSocket with a long track record, HTTPBot is the established veteran.
Can any of these import my Postman collections?
Yes. ReqPad and HTTPBot both connect to your Postman account; ReqPad imports workspaces in one tap via Cloud Sync and also takes Postman v2.1 files, cURL, OpenAPI/Swagger and HAR. Tester and Rest import Postman collection files. Only ReqPad advertises running Postman-compatible pm.* scripts and a Collection Runner.
Which iPhone API client supports gRPC?
ReqPad. Across the App Store listings we checked in October 2026, it is the only iPhone API client that advertises gRPC (server reflection and .proto files, all four streaming modes), and the only one with Socket.IO and MQTT alongside REST, GraphQL, WebSocket and MCP.
Is there an official Postman app for iOS?
No — Postman ships desktop and web clients only, and the mobile request has been open in their tracker for years. The web client loads in a phone browser but is built for desktop screens.

REST & WebSocket free forever, no account. Import your Postman workspaces in one tap, run your pm.* scripts, and see if gRPC, MQTT & Socket.IO earn Pro.
